The Skinny
The Baby Delight Beside Me is a mesh-sided bassinet with a firm sleep surface. This economical option has a drop side and parent bed attachment strap, as well as height adjustment for the bassinet for a proper pairing as a co-sleeper. We like the breathability and accessibility of this semi-portable option, and it offers a quick setup. We did experience more flex in the frame of this option than some competitors, but it wasn't a safety issue that we could tell. Accessibility
The Beside Me is very accessible for parents as a co-sleeper, assuming your mattress setup is the right height. The one side of the bassinet that fits against the parent bed has a zippered drop side and the bassinet mattress height isn't too deep. The height of the basinet is adjustable up and down and there is a long strap that fits under the parent mattress to help secure it to the parent bed.
The feet of the Baby Delight are sturdy and slide under the parent bed.

Portability/Mobility
This product is relatively portable both from room to room and for travel if you travel by car. The setup is simple and straightforward and the entire product is fairly flat when not assembled. While it does not have wheels it is fairly lightweight and when empty can be moved from room to room and used as a free-standing bassinet with the side up. Our bassinet was about 17.5 lbs put together and measures 26"-30.5"H x 39"L x 27"W, with a mattress height of 14-19 inches possible.
You should never move any bassinet with a baby on board. No matter how reluctant you are to rouse a sleeping infant, it is not safe to move an occupied sleeping space.
The bassinet height on the Baby Delight is adjustable by turning the knob to raise or lower it as needed.

Additional Features
This bassinet can be used as a co-sleeper attaching to the parent's bedside with the side down or it can be used as a standalone bassinet with the side up. You should pay special attention to the height limitations to avoid being frustrated with a product that doesn't work with your bed. It has adjustable height legs that move relatively smoothly up and down by turning a knob. The leg "feet" are also adjustable in and out for added stability.
Ease of Setup
The Beside Me setup is remarkably simple and straightforward. All of the parts snap together without the use of any tools. The legs come attached and fold out with a spreader bar and that is about all you need to do.
The Baby Delight cover is removable and is machine washable and dryable.

Cleaning
You can clean this bassinet fairly easily with a cover that unzips and can be tossed in the washing machine and the dryer. This design makes it one of the few that can be good to go as soon as your dryer buzzer goes off.
The majority of baby contact sides in the Baby Delight are breathable mesh with one side (against the parent bed) being mesh-covered batting.

Breathability
The Deamer is one of the most breathable options with sidewalls being primarily mesh with very little fabric panel portions.
This option has a fabric rim but three sides accessible by napping little ones are mesh. The 4th side, which rests against the parent's bed, is not entirely mesh, but it has mesh-covered batting.
The mattress on the Baby Delight is 0.75 inches thick. The maximum allowable thickness is 1 inch.

Sleep Surface
The Beside Me has one of the best sleep surfaces in the lineup.
The Beside Me has a good stable, hard mattress base. The frame on the bassinet flexes a little, but it isn't enough to cause the child to shift even if you press down on one side. The mattress fits the frame nicely and even needs to be pushed into place, so there is no gapping on any side.
There is little to no gap on any side of the Baby Delight with the mattress pad in place.

The mattress is 0.75 inches thick and fits snugly with no reasons for concern in our tests. The pad secures to the frame by pressure without the need for Velcro or other securing measures.
The Baby Delight offers a quality product that has a nice overall fit and finish of materials and attention to detail.

Quality
The Baby Delight's quality is better than average even if it misses the mark compared to more expensive options.
This bassinet has a significant side-to-side flex when it isn't attached to a bed, making it more stable when used as a cosleeper than when it is a free-standing bassinet. The flex arises from the legs, while the body of the Beside Me is actually very stable. The fabric and mesh are all soft and there is enough cushioning where it is needed for comfort for baby and parents. Everything fits together well and looks nice.
While there is much to love about the Dreamer, they appear to use chemical flame retardants in their production process.

Eco-Health
The Baby Delight had a slightly better than average score in our tests for eco-health.
The product is primarily polyester with polyester batting with no other information provided by the company.
