Our Analysis

With its Zero VOC formula, Harmony® Interior Acrylic Latex paint has no smell, while also reducing household smells from pets, cooking and smoke (and other common odorous agents) to keep rooms fresh. This healthier paint that's GreenGuard Indoor Air Quality Certified® and GreenGuard Certified for Children and Schools is made with an innovative technology that helps to reduce formaldehyde and VOC levels from carpet, cabinets and fabrics, thereby creating a significant increase in indoor quality. The colorants don't add to the VOC content, either, and the paint's antimicrobial properties resist mildew. Harmony paint finishes beautifully and keeps its allure after many washings.

Available in three finishes: Flat (deflects the light); Eg-Shel (slight hint of shine, holds up better to cleaning); and Semi-Gloss (withstands a lot of cleaning), Sherwin-Williams Harmony Interior Acrylic Latex Paint comes in 1 and 5 gallon buckets with a lifetime warranty. Price is $51 per gallon and there is a wide array of 1120 colors.

We believe zero VOC paint is your best option for painting your nursery and children's bedrooms (as well as the rest of the house frankly) because of how safe and healthy it goes on and stays. The Sherman Williams Harmony Zero VOC is a quality choice, but other zero VOC paints are available and meet our criteria as well.
