Easy enough to use option with a bassinet, but it isn't as impressive as higher quality options

The Skinny

As one of the few travel cribs with an included bassinet, the Flisko 2 in 1 Travel crib is one to consider if you're looking for a bassinet feature for an infant. This travel crib is easy to use and comes with a carry bag for travel. If you use the bag without the bassinet it is one of the lightest in the group, which is a big plus if you plan to carry in on travel or use overhead storage on a plane. With the bassinet, it is one of the heaviest. We set up this option in under 2 minutes and while it is stiffer than the similar competition, it is still easy to set up and take down. This option has sub-par quality compared to the more expensive options and the other bassinet choice in this review. It also has a less comfortable mattress. However, if you need a travel choice and desire a bassinet, then it is abudget-friendly choice that could suit your needs.

Ease of Use

The Flisko is relatively easy to use, and when compared to the competition, it ranks fairly high in this metric. It opens easily, and while the legs are stiffer than other contenders, it isn't challenging to open or set up. It took us around 1 :#0 minutes from beginning to end, and folding it up for travel is about the same.

The Flisko has a bassinet accessory that fits together in the crib's top, suitable for infants only. The bassinet is intuitive to assemble and fits snuggly, and feels secure in place.

This bassinet has a zip side opening for easy access to little ones for comfort or playtime. The zipper works well, and we didn't have any difficulties. The fabric cover is removable and can be machine washed, but we'd recommend handwashing to avoid shrinking the bassinet as this could be a potential problem. This product fits well in the carry bag but is significantly tighter if you include the bassinet.

Portability

This unit, including the bassinet, is still one of the lighter options in the review, with a weight of 12.1 lbs. As some of the competition is over 20 lbs, it is light in comparison. However, some of the similar styled options are closer to 10 lbs, and this one is also if you don't pack the bassinet. Closed and packed in the carry bag, this travel crib measures 21"H x 24"L x 7.5"W, which is fairly small compared to the competition.

Comfort

This option earned one of the lower scores for comfort in the group. With an overall score so low that only a few performed lower. This option has a hard corrugated plastic board under a thin polyurethane pad. The pad compresses easily, leaving little ones on the hard surface with little soft support. While you need firm support to make a safe infant mattress, this seems to take that requirement to an extreme.

It also isn't the most comfortable for adults as the sleep surface is virtually on the floor and you'll need to bend all the way to the ground to put baby inside to sleep.

For parents to get children in and out, it requires bending fully at the waist as the sleep surface is directly on the ground. This means you can bend or crouch or even get on your knees before putting your child inside, but none are great options for comfort. We do like the side access zip panel that lets parents sleep on the floor beside little ones and offer comfort through the flap without the need to get up and reach down inside.

Quality

This product is not high quality, and at least in part, you get what you pay for in this gear category. The fabric isn't rough, but it has a sort of plastic-type feel that is not as nice as the competition. The zipper is not as flimsy as some of the competition, but we did think it could fail over time, or the teeth could pull apart the more you use it. Also, while the bassinet fits well in the crib, the entire product is somewhat wobbly. Last, the fabric is listed as machine washable, but we worry this is optimistic thinking on the manufacturer's part as the fabric tends to shrink and then won't fit the frame anymore. As a result, we recommend hand washing and fitting the fabric to the frame to dry to avoid it becoming too small to fit. Overall, it isn't bad quality; it just isn't as good as the more expensive option in this review.

Eco-health

This travel crib doesn't say much about how it is made or the exact materials sued, and there is no company website to research. The mattress tag does say it is 100% polyurethane foam, which off-gasses and is not a material we are big fans of, and we typically try to avoid this foam when we can. With no other information on attempts to use non-toxic materials or to use certified healthier materials, the FLisko suffered in the eco-health department compared to the other products we tested.
