Our Analysis

Designed by a pediatric feeding specialist, Lifefactory's multi-sensory silicone teethers have four different sections that help to develop oral motor skills. Free of phthalates, PVC, BPA or latex, you can refrigerate or freeze them safely.

Babies like how soft, flexible and easy-to-grip these teethers are, even those babies who don't seem to take to any other teether. Parents especially like that the product is made in the USA, and safe to use in the dishwasher, freezer or sanitizer.

Likes

The most commonly cited likes for this product are:

  • Easy for babies to grab and hold onto
  • Made of a healthy material
  • Good size
  • Made in the USA

Dislikes

User reviews frequently note these disadvantages:

  • A handful of reviewers say these teethers warm up quickly after freezing

Teethers are one of the product categories that deserve a safety note regarding potential choking hazard risk. For example, one famous teether, Sophie the Giraffe, has long legs than can get stuck in baby's throat. We feel the Lifefactory teether is very safe, but we urge parents to inspect teethers periodically and replace immediately if they show signs of chipping or cracks.
